Terms of service
TERMS OF SERVICE
The terms on which Clinician Abroad provides its guides and services.
Â
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of products and services from Clinician
Abroad (“we”, “us”, “our”), a sole trader business operating at clinicianabroad.com. By purchasing from us or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not purchase.
Â
2. What we provide — and what we do not
Clinician Abroad provides educational guides and application-coaching services for internationally trained doctors, including digital downloadable guides, CV rewriting, application reviews, and strategy consultations.
Important — no guarantee of employment or outcomes. We are a coaching and educational service. We are not a recruitment agency, an employment agency, or a placement service. We do not, and cannot, guarantee that you will be shortlisted, invited to interview, offered a job, granted a visa, or achieve any particular outcome.
Hiring and immigration decisions are made entirely by third parties (NHS trusts, the GMC, and government bodies) over whom we have no control. Any examples, statistics, or testimonials we share describe past experiences and are not a promise of your results.
What we do commit to. For our CV Rewrite and Fix Pack service specifically, our commitment is that we will reword and restructure your CV to NHS application standards as described in the product. This is a commitment about the work we perform on your document — not a guarantee of any hiring, interview, or visa outcome resulting from it.
Our guides and advice are for general educational purposes. They do not constitute legal, immigration, financial,
or professional medical-career advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional (for example, an immigration solicitor for visa matters).
Â
3. Orders and pricing
- All prices are shown on our website and are payable in full at the time of order.
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where we reasonably believe the service is not suitable for you, in which case we will refund any payment made for that order.
Â
4. Digital guides — delivery and refunds
Our digital guides are delivered electronically, normally immediately after purchase via a download link sent to your email.
Your cancellation rights and the waiver. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you would normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase. However, for digital content supplied immediately, this right Is lost once download or access begins, provided you have acknowledged this. By purchasing a digital guide
and accessing or downloading it, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right to cancel and receive a refund.
Accordingly, digital guides are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed. If you experience a technical
problem accessing your guide, contact us at info@clinicianabroad.com and we will resolve it, including re-sending the file or, where we cannot deliver it, issuing a refund.
Â
5. CV Rewrite, reviews and consultations — terms and refunds
These are personalised services that require us to begin work specifically for you.
- Before work begins: you may cancel and receive a full refund at any time before we have started work on your documents or held your consultation.
- Once work begins: by submitting your documents or attending your consultation, you expressly request that we begin the service immediately and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right to cancel for a refund once the service has started. Personalised services are non-refundable once work has commenced.
- Revisions (CV Rewrite): to ensure fairness, the CV Rewrite service includes one round of reasonable revisions if you feel the delivered work does not match what was described. This is offered in place of a cash refund.
- Turnaround: we aim to deliver within the timeframe stated on the product page (for example, 48 hours for the CV Rewrite) from the point we receive your complete documents. Delays caused by late or incomplete submission of your materials are not our responsibility.
- Consultations: may be rescheduled or cancelled for a full refund with at least 48 hours’ notice. No refund is given for non-attendance or cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights, including the right to a remedy if a service is not performed with reasonable care and skill as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Â
6. Your responsibilities
- You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information in any documents or details you submit.
- You are responsible for the final content of any application you submit to a third party, including any version of a document we have helped you prepare.
- You agree not to misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or eligibility, and you acknowledge that we are not responsible for any consequence of inaccurate information you provide.
Â
7. Intellectual property
All guides, templates, written materials, and content created by Clinician Abroad are our intellectual property and are protected by copyright. When you purchase a guide or service, you receive a personal, non-transferable
licence to use the materials for your own application only. You may not copy, resell, share, redistribute, or publish our materials, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
Â
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with our products or services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss of earnings, immigration or Visa outcomes, or any hiring decision made by a third party.
- We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Â
9. Testimonials and reviews
Where you provide a review or testimonial, you grant us permission to publish it (in anonymised or attributed
form as agreed) on our website and marketing channels. You may withdraw this permission at any time by
contacting us, and we will remove it within a reasonable period.
Â
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence.
Â
